Senior High Camp Experiences

Senior High Art Camp
For Entering 9th - 12th Graders

Creativity will be explored across many art mediums – drama, music, dance, painting, woodwork, and more.  Projects for Sr High Art Camp will be more detailed and more challenging than those offered for Mid High Art Camp.  This combined with all of the other camp activities will make for an exciting week!

Senior High
Advanced 
Art Camp
For Entering 9th - 12th Graders

In addition to all of the regular camp activities, campers will get to participate in several art mediums – drama, music, dance, woodworking, painting, sculpting, etc. and get to choose a project to share with everyone else.  We will work with each camper to specialize their experience to their specific interests.  (It will be possible to participate in both Sr High Advanced Art Camp and Sr High Mission Camp this week if interested.  Let us know so we can work out an adjusted cost.)

June 12 - 17, 2022 (Sun-Fri)

Sr High Mission Camp
For Entering 9th - 12th Graders

Spend part of each day enjoying all of the normal camp activities.  Spend part of each day doing service projects at Highlands and/or in the surrounding community. Participants in the Sr High Mission Camp should expect more challenging projects than those done in the Mid High Mission Camp.  At the end of the camp, you will be able to feel proud of how God has worked through you to make a difference in other peoples’ lives.  Of course, your cost for attending camp is lower due to your willingness to serve the camp with your time and talents!  (It will be possible to participate in both Sr High Advanced Art Camp and Sr High Mission Camp this week if interested.  Let us know so we can work out an adjusted cost.)

Night Owl

For Entering 7th - 10th Graders

For those who like to stay up late and get up late!  Stargazing, night hikes, and all of the other camp activities!  Be sure to bring your flashlight or headlamp!

June 19 - 22, 2022 (Sun-Wed)

Cost: $340

Senior High Adventure
For Entering 9th - 12th Graders

White water rafting, sleeping in tents, mountain biking, hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, cooking meals outside, and lots of other adventures.  Not quite the Extreme Adventure Camp, but pretty close.

Dates:

June 19 - 24, 2022 (Sun-Fri)

Cost: $600

Extreme Adventure

For Entering 9th - 12th Graders

The ultimate adventure – sleeping and cooking your meals outdoors, an overnight backpacking trip in Rocky Mountain National Park, white water rafting, rock climbing off site and a high ropes course, mountain biking, and learning outdoor survival skills.  Bring your adventurous spirit and a willingness to tackle personal challenges!

Dates:

June 26 - July 1, 2022 (Sun-Fri)

Cost: $720

Sr High Puppet Camp 
For Entering 9th - 12th Graders

Similar to the Mid High Puppet Camp, but you will be able to challenge yourself with more challenging concepts and techniques.  You will also have time to enjoy all of the other camp activities.

Sr High Environmental Education Camp
For Entering 9th - 12th Graders

All of the Environmental Education Camps will include age specific activities and learning experiences designed to help campers go deeper in their understanding and appreciation for God’s creation. Campers will do projects on camp to fully engage them in this learning process and learn ways they can be caretakers of our environment when they return home.  Campers will also have plenty of opportunities to participate in all of the regular camp activities.

CIT Counselor in Training
For Entering 10th - 12th Graders

Come for one week or perhaps longer.  Are you interested in being a counselor once you are out of high school?  Gaining experience as a CIT will help you prepare for the incredible job of a camp counselor.  You will assist this year’s counselors and work with younger campers to help them have the best possible time at camp.  Let us know which week(s) you can work.  Staff training options will be offered in May.  Letters of recommendation are part of the application process.  The primary cost to you will be for meals.  Contact Terry if interested.
