COVID Guidelines

Highlands is committed to the safety of children, our guests and our staff. 

 

Highlands Staff will continue daily temperature and symptom checks, documented by each department.  We will confirm the vaccination status of all employees and encourage vaccination for all employees.

 

Highlands will continue a high level of cleaning and sanitization in all areas. Check in is at 4:00 PM and check out is at 10:00 AM – to allow sufficient time for cleaning, early arrivals and late departures may not be available

It is the responsibility of group leaders to:

  • Communicate Highlands Covid Policies to their group.

  • Request that anyone who is ill does not come to Highlands.

  • Assure compliance with Highlands Covid Policies while the group is on site.

  • Notify Highlands if someone in the groups gets sick with Covid 19 within 48 hours of departure from Highlands.

This information will be communicated to group leaders via email by Sue Spencer.

Meeting and Dining Space:

  • We will continue to set rooms with as much distance as possible between tables.

 

Lodging:

  • Retreat Center rooms may be booked to the capacity of the room.

  • Guest group leaders will determine how many people will stay in each room.

  • Cabins may be booked to maximum occupancy.

  • Boulder County Public Health has ordered that masks are required for everyone over the age of 2 in all indoor public spaces regardless of vaccination status. Exceptions include:

  • Individuals who are alone in an enclosed room or only with members of their same household in an enclosed room.

  • Individuals who are seated at a food service establishment or actively eating or drinking.

  • People who are outdoors in close proximity to other people who are not part of their household are strongly encouraged to wear a Face Covering.
